(13,118 posts)beautiful, graceful, and I think their behavior is interesting (pack behavior, rearing young). elements of other feral canine species there - but also with unique things all their own.

(13,118 posts)from AmerKennelClub: Some dogs have a wider range of vocalizations than others. Rottweilers purr, Siberian Huskies talk, Shiba Inu scream, and Basenjis yodel instead of barking
As far as the wild fellas go - I'm not sure who is supposed to have the best howl ...
But, for who(m) ever is hearing it out in the wilds - I'll bet it sends a bit of tingle up the old spine!

(2,343 posts)All cats, actually. Ocelot II mentioned all cats a few posts back, but didn't mention ocelots. Aren't they cats too? Maybe Ocelot II was too bashful to mention them. I'm thinking of two movies: Born Free and Roar! Wow, I've always thought cats are beautiful, fascinating, amazing, adorable creatures.

I know specifically that Jaquars are native to North America and even though tigers are not natives of North America, the United States houses more tigers then any other country. Go, U.S.! Roar!

(9,981 posts)That's no good.
Ocelots use to roam the U.S. until they become endangered. I know they find them generally in states like Texas.

(127 posts)I watched a TV show from Africa called In Your Dreams, in it there was a scene of modern teenagers driving though their suburbia where wild giraffes roamed freely. How incredible would that be to grow up in that environment?
I also loved the scene in the Last Of Us where Bella's character encounters a giraffe in the middle of a once thriving city now decimated and overrun by zombies.
