My brave golden retriever yea thats sarcasm ,on our walk my goodness father the horror were not gonna walk past that yard with the abominations blowing.
He stopped observed growled at the decorations.
And we crossed the road Dunc decided to change side of the road and as we crossed Dunc barked the whole time at decorations hackles up fur puffed up to make himself look bigger.
And tactically Dunc kept me between him and the decorations Im thinking he ate a copy of the art of war by Sun Tzu whoever thought my dog was a military strategist i sure as hell did not.
Ok dad if they attack theyll get you first and that will give me time to save my furry self.
You know in emergency women and children first yea not in a golden retrievers mind.

(34,495 posts)The Wonder Dog saw for the first time, maybe, a red gingham dress on a ugly porch geese. He and I walked past that house twice a day for 2 years.

(25,985 posts)I remember maybe putting them out 2-3 weeks ahead. Sorry your dog gets riled but can understand why. Some decorations are really weird.

(18,289 posts)Those inflatable yard decorations are indeed an abomination.
(When I go into a store that sells that cr*p I'm reminded that SOMEONE is buying all the stupid sh*t, and keeping casinos afloat, and so on -- then I bet some of these people b*tch about "inflation" and how hard it is to make ends meet these days because ... )
I applaud your pup for at least having a proper opinion of the nonsense.

(2,789 posts)Our golden retriever hated black trash bags, loved attacking dandelions and knew every thing in the neighborhood so spent some time one night barking at a wooden chock a neighbor left in the driveway

(3,700 posts)Hadn't thought about those decorations with dogs. They weren't around when I had my labs and my akita/shepherd mix was afraid of just about everything.
Had a big black lab who was afraid of feathers. We lived by lake Michigan at the time and would take him for walk ( and swim if it was warm) everyday. If he saw a feather sticking up in the sand he'd bark and run behind us just barking his fool head off until we removed it from his sight.
