Who were the funniest characters in the Bond films?

For me it was that good ol'boy sheriff in "Live and Let Die" and "Man With The Golden Gun."

2. Well, anything with Moore in it - him.

He was only marginally better at playing Bond as Clooney was as pretending to be Batman. Neither worked.

Much as I'm digging the Craig movies, I kind of wish they weren't afraid to inject a little of that humor every now and then.

Mr. Wint: Very moving.
Mr. Kidd: Heartwarming, Mr. Wint.
Mr. Wint: A glowing tribute, Mr. Kidd.

I will nominate Valentin Dmitrovitch Zukovsky from The World is not Enough. He was in Goldeneye but took a comic turn in TWINE...

Then drops him down a factory chimney stack.
