I also remember and wondered how in 444 days Jimmy Carter could not get the embassy hostages released, but by the grace of Ronald Raygun the hostages were released the day Raygun got sworn in as president. One of the women in my movie club group who saw the movie remarked how she just can't stand Ben Affleck and that the Hollywood crowd will give him an Oscar for Directing, and Acting because they just love him so much. She's rather annoying and one of the two women in our movie group that are repubs.

But since Democratic Hollywood enabled it during a Democratic administration, Republicans want to suppress history the way they suppress the vote. I've not thought Affleck was all that, either, until this movie. He has now established himself as a solid director and acting talent. I loved this move and highly recommend it to everyone.

I really got into the subject matter and watched a couple of BBC documentaries on you tube on the Iranian Revolution.

I really like the movie until...

The crazy hollywood chase scene at the end. When I got home I was suspicious of the ending and I found out on the CIA website from Mendez's account they all just got on the plane and went home.
