Friday Night Vodka Buzz. Ask me anything.

Two shots to get the party started. Now an Orange Martini; or as close as I can get without orange vodka.

Unflavored vodka, Lillet, and a few dashes of orange bitters. It’s okay. Don’t know if I’ll try it again.

Thrashed after a long day. Looking forward to a restful weekend. I love you all…

Odd, I guess. I was only in for four years. The units I was in never got around to that place in the rotation.

We did get to the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Chaffee in 1992. Not a fun place for tankers. Fort Irwin would have been better.

assisting units redeploying to their home stations. JRTC relocated to Ft Polk in 93 and my company had the contract to run the program since 2002. Both places really sucked!!

We got two tanks stuck in a swamp, plus the M-88 that went in after them. I can’t imagine that happened too often at Irwin.

I got a taste of desert tank operations when I was in the Gulf in 1991. We had a five-day training exercise to get us ready to fight the ground war. But the ground war began and ended while we were out in the field. That’s life sometimes.
