it's what's for dinner. An Italian/toasted. Lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, vinegar (prefer Aunt Fannies) mayo and black pepper. Five minutes and counting until I take a bite. It's made out of a little cubby hole place inside the Mobil station (called 'The Station.') ~ I do like marble rye and a good pumpernickel. How 'bout you, debm? How do you like it?

3. The permutations...the permutations...

I come up with roughly 24,000 permutations of sandwiches that are acceptable to me. Right now, pastrami sounds good. On real pumpernickel bread. Aged Swiss cheese. Dijon mustard. Shredded lettuce. Tomato if fresh. That’ll do nicely.

7. Best to do these food/meal things after you've eaten something tasty!😄

....Otherwise i's kinda of like 🥺 if you don't have anything good to eat, and too late to go get something. (I don't really order out for now) I just had a good snack.

Anyway, my most favorite
Italian sub, or French baguette, or pretzel bread if I can get it
regular provolone (aged is tasty, too, but more for snacking, than a sandwich)
mayo on the inner bread, with some garlic powder.
Jersey Beefsteak Tomatoes, or Heirlooms placed on top of the cheese, maaaaybe a teeny touch of salt, a bit of pepper, and more mayo.
Crunchyish dark romaine lettuce.
And the other piece of bread (also with mayo).

For a 2nd one probably...
Italian, French bread, or a kaiser roll
mayo
Sliced thin turkey breast w a ? honey something rub (used to get this)
Swiss, or Jarlesberg cheese
tomatoes, like above w a touch of salt, mayo, garlic powder. Sometimes a touch of yellow mustard.
Dark romaine lettuce
Top of cut bread

Dang now i want one or a half of either!😅

13. Pastrami and Jarlsberg on rye with Best Food mayo, brown mustard, pepperoncini

and shredded lettuce; cold sandwich.

or

Roast beef (prime rib if possible) and sharp cheddar on sour dough with dill pickle BF mayo, brown mustard and shredded lettuce; cold sandwich.

Eat most often:

Honey ham and Swiss on sour dough or rye with dill pickle or pepperoncini, BF mayo, and brown mustard; cold sandwich.

Heaven (my recipe):

Matsutake mushroom and sharp cheddar on sourdough with garlic and mayo, hot sandwich.

recipe: cut 1/2 inch steaks of Matsutake and cook but still firm in butter with slices of garlic. Lightly mayo both sides of sour dough and place mushroom, garlic rounds and sharp cheddar and grill in the garlic butter; hot sandwich.

Have made with morels but need Matsutake for thick "steaks".

Fresh wild mushrooms.

15. You're all making me hungry! My version of a Philly Cheesesteak Sub.

Whole wheat 12" sub bread split (hot & toasted)
3/4 lb Shaved Sirloin
1/2 Lg. White Onion, diced
4 Sm Portobello Mushrooms (Baby Bella) diced
Sm Green pepper, diced
5-6 Slices Swiss Cheese according to preference
Colman's Hot Mustard

You know the deal:

Spread the mustard on the loaf's bottom half

Throw the meat and onions on the griddle.
Little later add the peppers
Little later melt the cheese on top

With a long spatula Ladle it onto the loaf...

Eat & Enjoy!
