Friday Night Gin Buzz. Ask me anything.

A shot of The Botanist, Islay gin, smooth enough for sippin’. Now a Delmonico. Gin, cognac, sweet and dry vermouth, Angostura bitters, and a dash of orange bitters. That should do the trick.

I’m so unspeakably depressed. I don’t even have the words. I’ll pop into the Good News forum sooner or later for a pick-me-up. But if any of you have reasons to hope, please share them with me.

I love you all…

1. Hi, Aristus. I think the best I can give you is that there are a lot of good people here

and out there. That gives me hope.

I recently had to uproot my whole life and get re-established in a brand new place. Lost all of my belongings and much emotional baggage. It's been a journey but I'm finding more kindred people out there like you. Sometimes we need to rip off the old coverings and get some fresh new skin.

Enjoy your wonderful mix (is that a high-end martini?)

It’s its own thing. Not too sweet. Not too dry. Just a perfect cocktail.

Doing a huge move in life shows immense courage and the American can-do spirit. You should be proud of yourself.

3. At 78yo it wasn't courage, just had to survive. My sip is a cheap JW Red w branch water.

Since I came from a personal place where I liked to volunteer / help others, I really tried hard to do that in my new environment. And it's been very satisfying!

But I couldn’t think of anything, so I’ll just toast you with my second glass of🍷

Maybe video of tomorrow’s mass protests will cheer us up.

Right here in my little town of Puyallup, Washington. I hope that will pick me up a little.

I’ll have to try it. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen chocolate eggnog, though.
