Today is the 3 month anniversary of my release from the hospital following my quadruple bypass surgery. When it comes to my heart, everything seems to be going swimmingly, I've had no adverse signs or symptoms since my collapsed lung issue since March 8th that had me hospitalized for the extra week with the ever wonderful chest tube to drain the fluid from around my lungs.

I'm going to preface everything I write from here with the following:
I am asking for your financial help to keep my fear, anxiety and PTSD at bay as it is those 3 things that will be the end of me as I don't have any idea of how to survive on the streets.
July is nearly upon us and as for my SSDI appeal, the only update is that my appeal has been assigned to a new adjudicator.
Honestly, I am scared to death of the delays that keep me in this desperate position. I am an emotional wreck these days because I am completely at the mercy of people like you to have a roof over my head and electricity on.
I don't have any options outside of asking you to keep helping me and I'm terrified of becoming an anonymous statistic wandering the streets.
I've has PTSD all my life from the abuse I suffered as a child, along with the abandonment issues from the dozen or more "homes" that I was shipped around to, six of which happened in the USA from the age of 9+ and only one qualified as healthy. The other 5 gave me a first hand experience buffet of all the different kinds of abuse that exist out there. I mention this because my fear is that of a child, I hope you can understand that it is that fear that can't be conquered.
If anyone is in a position to put together a proposal where I can repay conditioned on final approval of my disability claim, I would be more than open to an option like that. I've mentioned numerous times that my need amount to$1200 per month (Cat food is covered this next month thanks to an anonymous donation). My SS earnings statement says my Soc. Sec. income would be around $2308 a month.
I can give my contact information should the need arise, and of course, I have the Functional Ability Assessment that I can provide for further verification of the seriousness of my disability.
Please accept my ongoing gratitude for all your help to this point, as I know full well that it is you that has kept me housed and fed so to speak since this started in December. Not a day goes by that I don't feel thankfulness for that fact.
I will close with an apology. I am really sorry that I'm putting any of you into a difficult situation in making a decision whether to give or not. If my request creates any difficulty for you, please don't help with money. Your words of support are just as important to me as a dollar would be.
With the gratitude that only a 'saved" person can express, Thank You!
Love, John

A friend had some tooth extractions, but the dentist was not aware that he was on blood thinners, as you might be. It took a trip to the ER to stop the bleeding.
Please make that known, if so, and follow all warnings against taking "whatever" with blood thinners.
Best wishes and best of health.

Everyone knows I'm on them thanks to Cuddles the cat.

(21,874 posts)That is a decent amount of money to receive from SS.
Do you get this much if your SSDI goes through?
I got only $800 a month when I first became officially disabled.
Now I am too old to be on SSDI and I receive $1215 a month after Medicare is deducted.
I worked for many years before I had to choice but to quit.
I am ashamed about my poverty level income but I certainly cannot work any longer and I'm too old now.
Best of luck with your appeal!
