Smithville - The Strongest Tornado in Recorded History

On April 27th, 2011 the largest tornado outbreak in recorded history would strike the United States. One of these tornadoes would obliterate the small town of Smithville, Mississippi.

This is the story of the 2011 Smithville EF5 tornado, what I believe to be the strongest tornado in recorded history.

Thanks for sharing! Astonishing power!

Sweeping away all traces of homes down to the foundations! Scouring the ground about a foot deep! Uprooting trees, and stripping off all their bark! Pulverizing bricks into powder!

What a nightmare to be picked up and then rotated high in the sky by that monster, for over a mile! The guy in the pickup truck died that way, after his truck finally slammed into the ground!

At least the three children in the bathtub, which was also aloft high in the air after their entire house was swept away by that EF5 tornado, somehow survived it! Their babysitter, who laid on top of them in the tub, probably sacrificed her life to help save them!

Here's a video of storm chasers trapped on a road by telephone poles and electric lines, their car only moved a few feet by an EF3 tornado in Illinois. That's stressful enough!
