1. The mistaken gender happened with two pets

First a German Shepherd Puppy. Mom really thought this one puppy was the best looking, but it was a girl, and I thought we should get a male. So when the lady handed me the puppy, I thought it was a male. I named it Max after the Bionic Woman's GSD on the show. Well when we took doggy for it's shots the vet said you are going to want to call it Maxie because it's a female not a male.

So a year later we go back to the same vet with a kitten who was born to one of the barn cats. It had bad balance issues. The vet said it didn't have to be euthanized, but it needed to be an indoor cat. He said you're going to have to rename it because it's not a Missy but a Mister. He laughed and said you people are really bad at this, and pointed at Mom, and said, and you're an RN. She blushed and said well I wasn't looking back there. 🤣 We renamed kitty Magee after ths NCIS character.
