The picture is nice, but that can't be a comet. The tail always faces away from the sun.

In order to have a rainbow in the waterfall, the sun would have to be behind the camera at about 20 degrees above the rear horizon, so the comet tail would be short if visible at all. I think it's just a plane like the one over the ridge. But it simply can't be a comet. It also looks like the recent Milky Way 24.6GB photo was Photoshopped into the background. It looks oddly familiar, and it isn't in the right place or scale anyway. Still, it's a nice picture. I know, I'm a geek. I printed it out.
