(38,167 posts)I stuck my big toe in Lake Superior one summer, and it was so cold that an electric shock went right up my leg, through my torso, and into my armpit. Yikes! Plus, a lot of the shoreline is rocky. It is impressive, though.

(417 posts)We went swimming in it today. Might go again tomorrow if the smoke situation is decent (air quality has been extremely difficult all summer long).
