But man, what a frickin' miserable place Iran looked to be....I'm not sure I could have been as brave as those six. I think I would have done myself in after a month in hiding.....

I was working with a firm that had people in Iran during the revolution, and almost took a position to work in Esfahan myself before the stuff hit the fan, so memories of that time are strong. My neighbor went with me to the film and was translating the Farsi for me.
