I'm an aficionado of unusual birdhouses, and that collection is so colorful! Where is it located?

I like this picture because, if the structures are fully occupied, bet there isn't a mosquito within miles!

You can wrap any birdhouse pole or tree with a metal baffle, either commercial or just cobbled together from scrap metal:

If you put up swallow and/or purple martin houses, I can almost guarantee the residents will take care of your mosquito problem. I remember reading something a few years back about just ONE purple martin community of several birds eating over 2000 mosquitoes a day! We always put up swallow boxes when I was growing up in Oregon and never had any complaints about biting insects in the yard.

or us a couple of large stainless bowls and invert them to make a ball - tamp down the lip to join them and prevent the critters from getting a grip. cut holes in the bottoms of both bowls and put them on the pole and let them spin on top of a washer.

Make sure the pole is far enough away from trees - out of jumping distance
