(9,698 posts)I've had them off and on my whole life. When I get a flareup I just limit caffeine and it gets better. They can be painful, too.
I haven't let them biopsy anything---I tell the doctor if a lump is still there after a month or two, okay, but they've always gone away.

(343 posts)I had a lump in my breast back in the 90's. I had 3 young children, and of course, everything goes through your mind. My mother died of ovarian cancer, my grandmother had breast cancer (survived), and my great-grandmother died of uterine cancer. I felt like a sitting duck. It took 6 days to get the results, and it was benign. I was so grateful. It turned out to be a calcified mammary duct. I lived in Port Townsend, WA at the time. My doctor said I was the only one that week of her patients waiting for cancer results that turned out to be benign. I felt like I had won the lottery.

(12,943 posts)I am going through something close to the same, had mammogram with issues, just had biopsy yesterday and waiting for results next week.
I go back and forth between saying to myself why worry now it is what it is and being totally freaked out.
Mine is different in that they know it's calcification and it may be nothing or something. My mind tends to spin and scream scary things at me.
I am so happy yours turned out ok.
