(67,722 posts)I have a single brew Keurig with a reusable cup, but I haven't put it into operation yet.
The cup is purple plastic, polypropylene maybe, with a stainless steel mesh. It's patented and made in the USA, but I don't see a brand name on it.

(22,053 posts)I am NOT a coffee snob...I want my coffee to be hot in the winter, cold in the summer, and wake me up with an adequate dose of caffeine. I like it black and unflavored.
I would really suggest buying one of these (link below). Ill tell you why: it doesn't have a hotplate...I has a thermos type carafe that keeps the coffee hot and fresh for hours. So you brew the coffee then it's hot most of the day without getting that burnt taste from sitting on a hotplate.
For me, this eliminates the waste and extra expense of all those plastic packets, but you still have hot fresh coffee all morning.
Just my two cents.

I apologize for that. Moving on ...
There's no way I could put up with a Keurig if it meant using the one-and-done cups associated with the devices. Someone brought a one cup Keurig into my former break room, and I was impressed with the convenience. Pour in a cup of water, put in a cup, hit a button, and walk away. Come back in a few minutes, and you've got a cup of coffee. Not a bad cup of coffee either.
The only drawbacks were the throwaway mentality that the machines encourage and the high price of those cups. You pay for the convenience.
The reusable cup changes all that. One of these days, I'll find some room on the kitchen counter and put the machine to use -- with a reusable cup filled with my choice of coffee.
Have a terrific weekend.

They're bpa-free & mostlh stainless, with plastic lids.
They work great!
Good luck!

(75,498 posts)They take different size filters.
Also, do not kink the cord on older models.
