After standing in the kitchen all day cooking - my god my feet and legs are aching!

I don't know why I feel I had to say that!

Turkey and everything turned out good. So that's a relief it's all done. And with the help of others, kitchen cleaned up and dishwasher running. It's a good sound.

I was hoping to get a few other things done tonight but I just cannot. I feel like I have been beaten with a stick.

I, too, find kitchen work especially taxing - I have sciatica problems and this year was the worst.

I’m determined to have my family here for a home cooked meal until I absolutely can’t do it anymore. (I’ve got the best setup for a family dinner)

Not trying to be a martyr or anything - they all appreciate my efforts - my husband helps a lot too.

I have to start cleaning the house 3 days out, the day before is for cooking. My son makes the pies and they are always delicious. So I don’t have to do that.

But boy by the time everything is cleaned up and put away, I feel like I’ve been run over by a Mack truck.

Putting your feet up for a little bit. If you have some comfrey salve or something nice to rub on you feet, they'd really appreciate it. Then go to bed. Whatever it is can wait until you rest.

That what I do when I feel like that after a cooking marathon.

And welcome to DU.

Seemed to help circulation and pain a lot.

Even though everything was delicious, I seriously think I should simplify everything next year!
Happy Thanksgiving!
