We've started to see a few black squirrels here in the far northwest Chicago suburbs. Used to see them al the time when we lived in the Washington DC area. Their fur gleams in the sunlight - just beautiful. some of "our" squirrels that frequent our patio have white fur on their ears.

(67,832 posts)8. When my bird feed cylinder gets down below about 2 inches, the squirrel that likes to eat from it pulls it up
& runs away with it. Fortunately for the birds, I also have a hanging feeder he can't get into.
