The DU Lounge

Sloe gin, sweet and dry vermouth, and a dash of bitters. Yummy. I think when this bottle of sloe gin is gone, Im not going to get another. It makes for a distressingly blood red drink.
Anyway, hope everyone is having a good weekend.

(71,405 posts)Woodinville also distills a rye whiskey, which I have tried. I didn't like it any more than I've liked any other rye. I just can't get into it. Rye is too harsh, too rough around the edges. I don't even keep it as a mixer anymore. I just substitute bourbon.
I've never tried Maker's Mark. But I've heard good things.

(37,388 posts)Distillery in Brooklyn NY. When I need some my cousin sends me a bottle.
I found them when I visited my old duty station in NYC which was the Brooklyn Army Terminal which along with the Brooklyn Navy Yard are now commercial enterprises. Really cool place.
