Wake Up Dead ManObviously theres death. There are two really unnecessary references to masterbation (IMHO).
Josh OConnor was really good in this. Considering the cast (see below ) he lead and stood out.
Jeremy Renners character said a line I laughed so hard at we had to pause the movie.
His wife left him ..for a guy she met in a Phish message group.
There another scene with his character going down stairs. Very funny. NO SPOILERS.
Theres an homage to Princess Bride (I think) with coffee cups.
Glenn Closes character has a look and reference to Cloris Leachman in Young Frankenstein. A running joke about surprising and scaring people.
One character- Cy - is a failed rightwing politician and he has one part where he runs down all the right wing talking points he used in his campaign but failed to make people scared enough. Its very spot on.
Cast
Daniel Craig - impeccably costumed by Jenny Eagan
Josh O'Connor
Glenn Close
Josh Brolin - very Jesus look.
Mila Kunis - as the Sheriff 👍
Jeremy Renner
Kerry Washington - always fantastic
Andrew Scott - always good.
Cailee Spaeny
Daryl McCormack
Thomas Haden Church

The Madcap
(1,738 posts)1. It's really good.
It's very different from the other two. It's a bit more serious in tone.

I think Daniel Craig worked on his southern accent a bit. 😀

Yes I think he has. I doubt I could afford it but Id like to have one suit like he wears.

Yes funny and the one character deadpanning GOP talking points was hilarious and really had nothing to do towards the plot so not a spoiler.
