play in both. Then they built a stadium that is almost exactly like Forbes Field. I like the new stadium. Right next to the Ohio River and the inside is beautiful. Too bad we don't have a team to go with it.

Mine is tied between football and baseball. I also enjoy basketball.
One of the highlights of 2025 for me was The Dodgers winning the World Series. I still watch the World Series highlights when I want to feel joy.
: loved base at Forbes Field. Saw the great Roberto Clemente Maz, Blass and others play.I would watch (if played on the road) or listen to Bob Prince and Nellie King and my Pirates at home. It you caught the wind write you could catch the Pirates in Altoona.and keep play by play stats on each player Also had the cards with a slate of Bazooka bubble (no individual ones,) You bought the pack. I : missed the Ken Burns doc. but the Homestead Grays played not far from my house when I lived in Duquesne, PA Sorry I was long.
and won it in Detroit. Redwings, won it in Pittsburgh and lost it in Detroit. Naturally, we went to the game in Pittsburgh.

Generational Cubbies fan. Earliest memory is ducking into my grandpa’s bedroom to hang out with the guys as they played poker and listened to the ball game on Sunday afternoons on the radio whilst the ladies gossiped in the living room.
Biggest disappointment was when WGN stopped carrying the games and now, even with MLB bball app, you can only get into *most* games. Big mistake, man. Cutting fans off like that isn’t going to help cultivate generations of fans to come…

...pointing out that the players actually use their feet thru the whole game. We live in the greater Chicago area, where almost everyone is a fan of Da Bears, so we are careful to do this only with people we know well enough to know they have a sense of humor. Not being a football fan in Chicago is rather like not being a skier when I lived in Denver.

Our older son loves sports trivia, and he was the one who told me how much the ball is in play in a 3+ hour NFL broadcast - very little:
Throughout the three-plus hours that you’re watching an NFL game, there is generally just 15-to-20 minutes of live action. The average NFL contest has roughly 18 minutes of actual gameplay, with more than 100 plays jammed into those 18 minutes. This average has increased, as there were just 11 minutes of live action back in 2010, per the Wall Street Journal.
I remember being puzzled when I was a kid, waiting for a football game that my dad would be watching to be over because then it would be my chance for some TV time. He'd say there were 5 minutes left, and I'd come back 20 minutes later, and there'd be 3 minutes left - what the heck!
My football team was eliminated from the playoffs, so now I'm counting the days until Spring Training baseball! 
I wasn't into racing until I got invited to go see an Indy Car race about 15 years ago. I was standing at the side of the track when one of the cars went by me at about 200 MPH. TV doesn't do the sport justice. I didn't really get it until I felt it. I live in South Florida so I have been able to attend the Miami Grand Prix a few times. My employer loves the sport so he brings us to the races. If you ever get a chance to go see a race in person, you should do it. I like going to hockey games too, but I never played the sport. It's great fun to see in action.
