Text discussion with daughter-in-law as we were home in WNC mountains this morning
She returning to Atlanta from Florida:
I'm home now with my people. Wasn't supposed to come home till tomorrow but left early because of the storm. I went from sunshine to snow and ice 🤦♀️
Me:
Nobody wants to go where ICE is.
Me:
We're buried in a massive snow storm. Can't even see out the windows. No heat. Trees down everywhere. Roving gangs of maniacs.
Me:
Time to open the blinds, stop looking at the pile of firewood, turn up the temperature and stop reading about Minneapolis.
Her:
How much snow did you guys get?
Me:
1/2 inch?
Note that our city declared an emergency yesterday morning announcing a curfew for last night because of the big storm.
