A Public Works Issue At Our House

Apparently, just downstream of our house broke underground.
Crews are put there digging in the dark trying to fix something.
Water gushed everywhere. But, that's only half of it.
We live on a corner and sidestreet runs downhill from front to back.
Our garage us in the basement, so our driveway comes downhill from the street.
Water comes down the hill, turns right into the driveway, and collects about half-way through the curve.
About an inch & a half of water across 20 feet of the driveway and it's 9° & falling.
Going to be able to hold a hockey game in our driveway by morning.
Not much I can do now. Can't even salt, because if more water comes in it will wash the salt away.
Not looking forward to dealing with this.

So, I think it's over, but our issue still exists.
I hope they send someone to salt the street!

I'll call in the morning if I have to.
They can't do our drive because a truck couldn't take the curve with the retaining wall right there..have to do that myself.

We start coming out of the deep freeze in a few days, but been really cold for over a week.
Vincent is probably missing the dog park, and I bought the pass for the year, but I'm not taking him out there until all the snow melts.
