2. Poor fella! At least some of us do have the heart to try and help these stray animals.

When I first moved to STLMO in 1979, the city of STLMO had tons of stray animals and then, as economic times got better, and neighborhoods in the city itself became popular (size of homes, pricing was very competitive), more and more strays disappeared (adopted etc.) and now you very rarely see a stray, if any at all.

This is one positive at least I'm seeing w/ the formerly large stray population in STLMO, it's literally now down to 'you're lucky if you see a stray.

Be kind, try and help these critters. But, be careful, for example, we have 3 identical black stray cats, and I've noticed that at least two of them do have homes and so does the 3rd one too (they all visit my back yard all of the time).
