Gah!! Water leaking from our bathroom down to kitchen

Mr. Danmel asked if one of our cats peed on the table! If only! $500 later and a big hole in the ceiling and wall which will have to be fixed we can shower again.
It's brutally cold here too. Dripping water around the house to keep the pipes from freezing. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

which is a *lot* easier to deal with. Good luck, thoughts and prayers (if those affect plumbing, which I kind of doubt), etc.

were leaking and collapsed when we tried to use a pipe wrench even to hold them. They had corroded through in places. Our best bet was to dig up the supply outside the house and run a whole new main supply and isolate the old system entirely. Last Saturday, we were outside digging up the yard with a high of 24. On Sunday the high was only 33. Right now we have restored water to the water heater, the tub/shower, and the washing machine. We hope to restore water to the toilet tomorrow, but for now, we're flushing with two pitchers of water poured into the tank for each flush. Maybe in a week or so we can work on getting the hot and cold over to the kitchen sink.

That's awful. I hope you get it fixed soon. We actually took out a maintenance warranty on the water line to the house. This was inside.
