?si=yoBExPVEeP8uAY0WThis video explores a unique restaurant called Enoteca Maria, located in Staten Island, New York.
Instead of professional chefs, the kitchen here is run by grandmothers, known as Nonnas.
Each Nonna cooks traditional home-style food from her own culture, using family recipes passed down through generations.
There is no fixed menu.
The dishes change based on who is cooking that day.
The goal isnt fine dining or food trends.
Its about preserving cultural food traditions and recreating the feeling of eating in a grandmothers kitchen.
A simple idea.
A powerful way to keep traditions alive.

(18,512 posts)2. I lived with a 36 year old "grandma."
I find the word is greatly inaccurate, and usually used to conjure up some kind of emotional association which is likely not valid.
