I think I might be overfeeding the deers at my house.

Depending on the number of visitors showing up, I'll put out 2-5 lbs daily of cracked corn for the locals.

Today, I saw the biggest deer I've seen. My faithful dog Skippa, for whatever reason, was outside and didn't notice the diner until he was safely inside.



I called my neighbor and he approached the fat deer with a pail of food. Last I saw, they were heading into the woods. I mean, how do you get a 1500 lb fat deer to cooperate?

Just talked with him and fat deer is back in the pasture....not sure how. But we plan to have a couple of socialble beers soon to figure out how to mitigate the issue going forward.

7. UPDATE

Talked with the neighbor and fat deer is back in their grazing pasture. More importantly, I had a great convo with him and we agreed to have a couple of sociable beers over here in the near future.

12. Another weird thing. I put a 20lb salt lick up close to the corn.

Today. I found it 30 feet away, close to my drive. I thought..."wtf?". Deer haven't used it at all in the past 2 months.
