I actually lean toward thinking he's not an imbecile, but is rather an amoral liar.

Admittedly, however, each theory has some plausibility.

While sLimus is detestable, he's like Maureen DOWD in the sense of he "hates EVERYBODY." He's turned into a refreshing alternative to Morning SCABS who replaced him. So this morning he and his stooges were laughing their asses off at all the yakker/pollster losers: KKKarl, MORRIS, and others they named. With MORRIS they set it up with the toesucker escapade. Then sLimus said, "Well, but who knows, since he likes being ABJECTLY HUMILIATED, he's probably ENJOYING losing like this." And the stooges chimed in with, "He's probably greased up and in a leather collar being spanked and told, 'You're a BAD BOY, a bad bad boy!1"
