Another DUer called Floyd Turbo whose style was similar?

Don’t mock me! I am a confused and isolated person creakily responding.
I vaguely protest something..

I can’t remember which book it was I read in my youth (probably Georgette Heyer, Wodehouse or Richmal Crompton..I didn’t and won’t have a wide range..) but there was a slightly thick-headed person who didn’t quite follow much..but only vaguely that they had been insulted..it was some burly male type.

But I identify with and support that person today..An unforeseen turn of events I had not planned for..Was it “Damsel in distress?” maybe?
