...but Somali cats have a weird love of water. Mine not only came in, he jumped right into the toilet WHILE I was using it! And he didn't seem to mind that he had his feet in pee water either. That was a few months ago when he was about 5 months old, so now i have to trick him to go one way and then duck into the bathroom and shut the door so he can't do it again.

and probably 60%+ of the time, she'll use her litter box at the same time (the box is in the bathroom - small house).

Sometimes after I flush, she'll watch the water go down.

Of course, she also likes to stand on the seat & drink the water...

I try to discourage that.

I've found that mine have been okay if I left the door open.

Although my parents had a cat that had to be fed by herself in the bathroom and one of their other cats wanted the leftovers so anytime the bathroom door was shut she would wait outside the door. She was always rather perturbed when the door opened and there wasn't a bowl with bits of canned food for her.

And their "looking" is always a lot more interested then just looking. Can't ever seem to use the potty without close inspection by the pooch. After all these years I've gotten used to it. I just never figured out why my using the potty is of such intent interest to them... they don't like being bothered when they do their business, so why do they think it's acceptable to do it to me? And just what in the world is so fascinating about it?
