The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsGood morning my DU family,
What a beautiful opportunity today to watch Mother Earth begin to awaken from her winters slumber. How lovely to take in the first sign of new leaves, the first blades of green grass and yes, even the sounds note springs impending arrival.
I'll be outside for a while today letting that sunlight warm my spirit.
Please give us a day filled with opportunities to experience the changes of the seasons, to let this metamorphosis happen magically right in front of our eyes and to stop and be entranced by her immense ability not just to survive, but to thrive.
Have a beautiful, invigorating day DU

(1,366 posts)It was a welcome change from all the depressing stuff I've been reading today. A good reminder that there is still much beauty and good in the world.

(14,213 posts)I remember that wonderful feeling well. My grandmother planted crocuses and daffodils which I was always excited to see as a child. In my own home as a young mother I watched for robins and that first inch or so of new green that tipped the evergreen trees. That 'spring green' became my favorite color.
The best was always that first sunny Spring weekend when everyone's steps were lighter and their faces bright--the parks brimming with people strolling and optimistic about what wonderful outdoor things and longer days lay ahead.
That was wonderful magic.
In Hawaii it is different and I do miss it, so I enjoyed your post.

I hope the subtleties that are spring in Hawaii will tease and dazzle you similarly.
