But most of these looked genuine to me., although I wasn't sure about some.

ETA: I had an orange kitten who accidentally rolled a toy under the couch. I slid a coat hanger under it to pull the toy out. He loved that retrieval and got next to me, like one of the video cats, to make it a team effort, mimicking my moves. I noticed that he started deliberately rolling things under the couch, just so we could work together on getting them out.

My current cat learned from watching me that touching my keyboard made a video stop or start. She loved watching with me. When I put a video on pause while I went to the kitchen, I heard the video playing again. The cat had tapped the right key and was sitting in front of the screen absorbed in the scene. I never knew if she hit the right key by accident or if she had learned from watching which specific key to touch.

She also used to turn off my phone alarm because she did not like the sound. Then she hid the phone under the couch.

3. I agree.

I hope they are. I have certainly seen cats do some of these things.

5. I have often wished designers of cat toys would make them big enough so...

...they did not immediately go under the furniture. We periodically retrieve a treasure trove of various toys from under our family room chairs and couch, and out of the entry way coat closet.

I do think the cats knock them under there on purpose.

7. I agree that cats knock things under couches and other furniture

deliberately. Ember does not do that as much now that she's older, but she used to hide her favorite toys, as if she needed to protect them.

I have pulled out the couch to find a row of toys where she had pushed them.

She loves the laser light, knows that I operate it, and looks around the floor to see where the light will appear when she sees me pick it up. But soon after I bought it, it disappeared. I looked in her favorite hiding places. Finally found it when I pulled back a corner of a throw rug while vacuuming. It was under the fluffy fringe of the rug. I guess a special toy needed a special hiding place.
