Are debutants still being "introduced?"

She decided to emulate former Vogue editor Anna Wintour with a recognisable pageboy bob hair style and large sunglasses and succeeded perfectly.

Am still curious of whether debutants are still being introduced, at least in New York.

4. This is ridiculous. I don't think that in the U.K. for example, where they were presented to the monarch

that they curtsied all the way to the floor. It is no longer custom in the U.K., by the way.

Every young woman at my gdaugter's ball engaged in volunteer work before their formal debut.
In our family, the ball was an acknowlegment (not a reward) for doing good things.
