I am 64 years old and I still like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Sometimes I like to insert half a banana (sliced) in the middle. I'm a creamy peanut butter guy. I prefer either strawberry jam or plum jam, and I choose white, wheat, or cinnamon-raisin bread. How about y'all? Are you a crunchy pb person? I understand grape jelly is a national favorite. My daughter actually likes pb&j on pumpernickel; I can't take that.
So... any contributions? It's peanut butter jelly time!

(1,021 posts)It was horrible. The texture was almost indescribable. It was so thick I could not spread it on my bread or toast. I will stick with the premium stuff henceforth.

(1,021 posts)Never tried sandwiches with them, though. It's a little pricey and not too easy to source.

(1,021 posts)When I was a kid my mother would make me drink tea with honey when I had a sore throat, and for the first 18 years of my life I thought I hated tea.
My sister offered me tea with sugar when I was of age, and I realized it was the honey I hated. I still drink tea to this day. I don't even have honey in my house.
I'm with you on the banana, though.
