I'm so glad he found his perfect fit. I just love happy stories like this.

I had a friend at work who adopted a dog who kept running away from his previous families, but he never ran away from her and I told her "that's because he was meant to be with you" and she actually got teary-eyed when I said that. It was the truth.

Some things are just meant to be.

and I saw a long haired black cat with yellow eyes in the cage and asked if I could hold him. I was wearing a coat with a hood and he crawled up my neck and laid down in my hood. I knew he was the one and he was the Best Cat Ever. I always told everyone that he picked me.i still grieve for him.

I went to a cat rescue organization looking for a black cat with white feet that I could call Boots (not original, but I liked the name). There, sitting on the desk, was a gray striped tabby. I reached out to pet her and she rubbed her head against my hand. I was immediately smitten. I stooped down and she jumped right into my lap. Then she laid on the floor so I could give her belly rubs while she held on to my hand and kicked her feet. I knew then and there she was my cat.

I still named her Boots. We had 11.5 wonderful years together until I lost her to cancer. I still miss her.
