I was upset when the supreme court handed the keys to the White House to GWB in 2000 hence 8643.
I joined DU initially around late 2001 or 2002 DU was very new. I thought of using NIX_47 as my new ID as NIX means the same thing as 86.

Acting AG big-T little-Odd B know very well what 86 means he's just playing ignorant which seems to be naturally easy for members of this administration.

And then there is the enemies list.
But I'm preaching to the choir.

I really thought Obama was an indication that better times were ahead, I was so proud of my country.
That very night Mitch McConnell swore that Obama would be a one term president. Thats when the GOP offically embraced full-on hate. IMHO of course.

I'm a return resident also. First joined in 2007 or 2008. I have been reading du earlier than that by way of Bartcop.
I was more involved locally at that time with brave new films holding "house parties" and regeristing voters during Kerry's run for president.
I lost my account when du went down after Obama was elected. and didn't rejoin til much later. Hubby lame54 got his old account back right away.
