Do you eat cereal any time of day?

I just finished a bowl of Rice Krispies with sliced banana. A bit of brown sugar sprinkled on top.

Yum!

For the record, I had a healthy lunch of air-fried chicken nuggets, perogies and a heaping side of steamed veggies. So I have no qualms about eating cereal for dinner!

When my daughter was a toddler, (40 plus years ago) the cereal manufacturers were desperately trying to produce cereals that were healthy and low in sugar. I think that phase lasted a year...

20 years ago when I was going through my second breast cancer battle, I was getting infused with a platinum based chemo. Everything I ate tasted like nickles, except for Life Cereal. I ate it anytime I wanted to. Oh and vanilla frosting tasted like lard...

Lately I have been considering Cocoa Krispies in a small bowl with a banana for a bedtime snack.

First time was a lumpectomy. Second time was a mastectomy. They were eight years apart. Then she lived for 19 more years cancer-free until it showed up in her lungs. But she was a smoker almost all of her life.

Savor those Cocoa Krispies. Life is short.

Be well.

… so damned skippy I eat whatever the hell I want when I want! Just woke up after 6 pm and opted to skip the granola today and had chocolate pop tarts, however…

I am apparently a rebel. Or a child. Whatever. I answer to no one and will eat cereal whenever I damned well please, TYVM.

Apologies if this comes off as hostile. It’s probably the sugar talking.

Let off some steam here. It's good for the soul.

I too have eaten my share of chocolate Pop Tarts, but it's been quite a while.

Corn, rice, wheat, oats, if it's covered in sugar, I'm there. I'm especially fond of cereals that add chocolate.

When we're too tired from our long hours at work to cook, and we're sick of take-out.

Mrs. Aristus is retiring next year. We're both looking forward to her being able to cook nice hot meals for us. With me still working another eight or nine years, we'll just be two staunch liberal Democratic atheists living a right-wing wet dream of man-work, woman-cook.

That's the case for Mrs. True Dough and I. She is recently retired but still open to part-time or contract work.

I have another several years of work to go.

She’s going to retire after her next birthday. She’s really looking forward to it. She’s earned it, and then some.
