Rum, créme de banane, apricot brandy, lemon juice, and a dash of sloe gin. I don’t have any apricot brandy, so I substituted pear brandy. Yummy!

1. Favorite Caribbean island?

2. I'm almost ashamed to say it, but Grand Cayman.

I know, I know, playground of the idle, tax-dodging rich. But the only other Caribbean island I have visited was Jamaica. Incredibly beautiful, and the rum was exquisite and as cheap as water. But the locals were a little too pushy, and even a little intimidating in their solicitation of tips.

Grand Cayman was quiet, laid back, and a dream of relaxing solitude.

3. Favorite for me is Puerto Rico..

Little anole lizards scurrying around the parks instead of squirrels, and music from the steel drum bands that sounds like it came right from heaven.

This is where I ordered a screwdriver, and was surprised that it was made with grapefruit juice instead of orange.

4. I really want to visit Puerto Rico someday.

To Hell with the haters. We should be proud that this place is a part of our nation.

5. Does Cozumel count as a Caribbean Island?

The only Island I've ever been to is Cozumel, but I'm not sure it's considered Caribbean. (It's actually part of Mexico.)

6. Apricot brandy

You cannot let yourself run out of apricot brandy. What if you get a cold?
