Do you consider it cheating to use a list of previously used words when doing Wordle? My wife, who doesn't even play, thinks I'm cheating by doing that. Just curious...

19. I don't think it is. It just eliminates a small portion of the vast possibilities

Plus, Wordle is repeating words from what I’ve read.

I’ve used one list but I found it more time consuming than beneficial. I just really am going for a 1 so after that I just hope for the best.

I check it to see what I did in any particular situation. And of course it has all the past answers there.
Would she consider that cheating?

Sometimes I just flat out remember what a past answer was. Like today. I remembered SMILE was once used.
I checked a list that removes former words now back in play and SMILE wasn't on it. Voila, it's got to be the answer.

If I keep a list, or I look at someone else's I don't see the difference. It's just using resources.

But like a lot of these games. A player can make up their own personal "rules." It's just how each wants to play the game. For example, some people think reversing a move in solitaire is cheating. Some don't.

I don’t think it’s cheating. Every day is a fresh challenge. Getting help doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.

I maintain a list myself, even tagging the repeats. I'm pretty sure it doesn't make Jesus cry. Whatever strategy helps you enjoy solving the puzzle is acceptable because the point is your entertainment, no prize money is involved, and you deserve to be happy.
