Just saw that MST3K Seasons 11 & 12 are on the Roku Channel. Any thoughts on the post-Joel/Mike shows?

I think I've seen "one," wasn't that impressed, but it may have been the movie itself and not the MST3K cast.

Any fans of the ORIGINAL Joel / Mike episodes who also like the "all-new" MST3K?

If you like the Mike era, you're probably familiar with Film Crew and RiffTrax Miles Archer 18 hrs ago #2

I first got into the show during the Mike era so I was always more of a Mike fan -- IMO, season 8 is the best of the lot, with a really strong set of episodes (The Leech Woman, The Mole People, The Deadly Mantis, Space Mutiny, Riding with Death, Agent for H.A.R.M., Prince of Space, more...)

I thought the new cast was fine. The host segments weren't that great, but they were never really my favorite part of the show anyway. They do have a few strong episodes. One I definitely recall is Cry Wilderness -- S1 E2 -- which stands up just as well as any of the original episodes as far as I'm concerned.

I saw them on tour back in 2017, they did Eegah! live (a Joel episode, originally) and it was really funny.

Film Crew never took off...I think they did a dozen or less episodes and packed it in.

The RiffTrax Live "Birdemic" episode is a hoot (for me, it had an edge over the "studio" version they did of the same movie).

And the "regular" RiffTrax version of "Stone Cold"...one of my favorite movies...is something I must have watched 100 times.
