Grateful Dead Cornell '77 (Fan Mini-Doc)

Probably no one will care about this, but I like posting about it because it was a special time in my life.

It was Mother's Day. I was in college. Everything was right.

Big Mother's Day party at my girlfriend's before we left and made the drive to Cornell.

They don't talk about the freak snow storm until later in the video. One guy mentions that it was a beautiful spring day. Bullshit, it was raining like hell with 30 MPH winds when we got there. That rain turned to snow during the show, and the drive home was hellacious.

And the majesty of the Cornell campus was awe inspiring to me. I thought that whole night was the coolest thing ever.

I saw the band there in '80 and '81 as well. My wife was a student at Cornell during that time, but we had not met yet. But today, she recalls the amazing vibe on campus when The Dead played there.
