1.6 liter turbo, 7 speed dual clutch transmission, 18 in alloy rims, pop up display, leather interior. We like it very much. The only downside is that most of the interior surfaces are hard plastic.

We’ve only got about 13,500 miles on it, even though it was five years old last month. I’ve been obsessive about maintenance. We’ve changed oil every 6 months — 10 times so far. The highest mileage between oil changes was 2015 miles. The lowest was 232 miles!

The dealership only switched from semi synthetic to full synthetic oil about a year ago; always Quaker State. I’d prefer a different brand, and full synthetic from the start, but we’ve had zero problems so far. Admittedly, 13,000 miles isn’t much.

I dropped off one at the shop today (for service tomorrow) for a clunky rattle somewhere in the dash or engine compartment.

One is 14 years old, and one is 15 years old. I'm sick of dumping money into both vehicles, so we are going to sell them and go down to one car.

We've always had two cars, but I think one car will be doable since I'm retired and wife works from home (hopefully retiring within the next two years)...but she does have to venture out for work a few times a week. We'll just have to coordinate our schedules.

I'm looking at 3 year leases. I haven't purchased a vehicle in a long while, and I feel like you have to be a brain surgeon to do a proper analysis of the purchase. I've been researching this stuff for weeks.

I have a guy coming Tuesday from a decent dealership around here to appraise both cars. If the appraised price is decent, then I'll just roll the proceeds of the sales into the lease to reduce the lease payments.

would you sell them privately and then lease from another dealership?

My wife and I had two vehicles for about 20 years. We have functioned with a single car for the past 5 years because our situation is similar to yours, but reversed. I work from home. My wife took the vehicle to work each day up until March, then she retired.

We have very few occasions when we really need a second vehicle anymore.

However, this dealership is pretty upfront.

I got a quote on one of the vehicles in 2023 which was higher than I expected. so we'll see what happens on Tuesday. Both cars are low mileage...but shit is still falling apart on them.

I don't know where you live, but here in NYS, winter beats the shit out of vehicles.

Good luck this week for mechanic and the appraisals!

The Vampire Lestat starts in about 8 minutes so I'll be MIA for the rest of the evening!
