Finally, A Clear Day

For the first time since last Thursday, we had clear skies all day.
Since last Friday, our town got 9.25" of rain!
One last strong storm last night.
The Chicago market had 14 tornadoes between 3 and 11 last night.
Streator got hit pretty hard. I read that several homes are a total loss.
Hail everywhere.
Far northern suburbs were smacked around pretty good too
Weird thing is, we got about 20 minutes of very heavy rain, but the wind was so mild, the branches on our trees were barely moving. The really heavy stuff seemed to go around our town.

I heard that Tampa, Fl has been protected from hurricanes by a Native American blessing for over 100 years

Happy to hear the worst of it missed you!

Usually extremely rare in NYC/NJ/Con area!

But we had a spate of several in 18 months in the mid '00s. F0-F1s. Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx. Water spout between NYC harbor and NJ
.
One heading NE; my friend in the Bronx saw the beginning funnel from her window pass overhead.
Then same one passed by very northern Bronx heading past the city limits.
My sister recognized from the vid that it it passed right near by the part of Nuesing Home our dad was living in which was a few blocks away from the city line!
