So, I stopped and got bagels today while I was in town

and the cashier asked If I was over 55....I said yes (I turn 60 this August) and she gave me the senior discount.

So, I didn't know if I should feel happy to have got to almost 60 before being asked this or if I should go out and buy some creams and potions to make myself look younger.

Then, I started thinking about how much pressure there is on women to be eternally young and I said "fuck it".

It was a journey and an example of why I shold never be alone with my thoughts.

I was at a Friendly’s before I was 60 but the waitress assumed I was over 60 and automatically gave me the senior discount. I was not pleased but at least I got a free sundae.
