but the writing is funny. The concept can be summarized as "Imagine if the two most irresponsible smartassed slacker fratboys you know were a legal team. Now imagine that they're actually really insanely-good at it."

There's a running joke on the show about them accruing contempt charges at a level well beyond that which any bar association in the US would disbar them.

more comedy than drama but it's not terrible. It's not a half hour sitcom though. I always thought LA Law was kinda funny too but still, not a sitcom.

Greg was a lawyer in Dharma and Greg I think. I still have a crush on Dharma.
Will from Will and Grace was a lawyer too.
And, from the way-back machine, Claire Huxtable was a lawyer I believe.

But none of those shows were really about being a lawyer - just had lawyer characters...

Boston Legal was another dramedy. William Shatner and James Spader were brilliant together.

At least I think it's a comedy. Maybe a drama with comedic elements.

It ran for three years on ITV, starring Stephen Fry as a solicitor. It's streaming on Netflix...

It was pretty humorous most of the time, and when it needed to, kicked ass in a serious manner.

Alan Shore and Denny Crane were perfect for each other.

I'm sure you agree that love can be about more than sex/a physical relationship. I think they loved/cared about each other more than some married couples do, and yes I know the characters were straight/ruthless womanizers. To me, that was part of the beauty of the show (their "bromance&quot .

I used to be late for work every now and then so I could see the end of some of the re-runs.

He chased just about every woman that crossed the screen.
Remember his affair with his ex-wife's daughter?

Denny was quite the randy old fart.

I vaguely recall another scene where he was getting intimate a woman on his desk and the blinds were open. I watched from the beginning. I was never into The Practice, but I started watching near the end before it spun off. Shore's character was intriguing and pulled me into Boston Legal. I didn't catch much of the last season. I guess I was occupied with other things, but now that it's fresh in my mind it's on my to watch list.
