God, I used to dance to that.
Interesting to hear how the timbre (right word?) changes with age.
The hanky head guy still comes pretty close on the high notes.
My voice is deeper/lower than it was 50 years ago.

I think this was recorded in 2004, the originals back together. Alas, at least two of they have died since.

I like it that the music we loved as kids still sounds good, even to a lot of kids!
Though this song came out when I was six, I remember it well. My brothers were seven, eleven, and thirteen, and the eleven-year- old, Nick, was playing electric guitar and imitating Elvis! He won a talent show on the Boston-Provincetown ferry.
He asked at a shoe store if they had Blue Suede shoes, and the shoe salesman said "The only other request I've had for those was from an inmate at the reformatory", which my mom & dad thought was amusing.

Besides, back then slow dancing was just shuffling and sniffing hair.

They sound fantastic!

My introduction to this music was via the American Graffiti soundtrack that my older sisters had when I was little - I'm glad that movie reintroduced that music to a younger generation. We used to dress up in bobby socks and skirts and pretend we were at a sock hop (which we learned about from Happy Days).

This song is currently on my iPod, I like it that much. Thanks for posting!
