I would be out riding. Cold but beautiful day here, crisp breeze but beautiful bright sunshine. I would love to be able to, but I can't.
You?
Going up on the roof today and fix a few shingles that got blown loose a couple of days ago.

(10,098 posts)Hey,
I would be out too, I'm getting acclimated to the cooler weather and it is not all that bad out. I had to delayer riding in to work today.

(10,098 posts)Hi,
My commute is only 10 miles round trip. For now I ride every workday unless there is snow or ice. I am lucky, most of my commute is on a bike path. I want a Surly Pugsley bike to ride when there is snow and ice, but not going to plunk down that kind of cash yet.

(6,581 posts)My ride would be 15 miles each way. The problem would be that I really wouldn't have a place to clean up and change for work, and it would be hard to transport dress clothes on a bike without wrinkling. I would consider it once as an experiment. If I could figure out the clothing issue, there is a branch of my gym about 1.5 miles from work where I could shower and change. Might be a fun adventure some day with a lot of logistical planning.
Forgot to add - I bought a Pug last month. Am going to pick it up on the 15th, had them hold it for me until then. Anxious to see how it does, both on snow and on some of the gravel trails we have here as part of the region's "rails to trails" program.

(11,916 posts)We're still working on getting things lined up to rebuild the end of our house that "Sandy" crushed. Seems there were not many building codes in the 60s' here. The structural engineers were out to meet with our contractor Monday morning and said we literally need to 'raise the roof' and chimney by about a foot, which we need to get an architect to figure how it's going to 'tie in' with the roof on the rest of the house.
Yesterday I went home at lunch to try to find a 10'x20' level space in our yard to put a temporary storage container. I found one spot - and that's only if we have a load of crusher run delivered to level it out.

(66,388 posts)I had a laughably easy morning; five patients. Not bad. I needed a break. I've been averaging 21-22 patients a day for a couple of weeks now. Exhausting. Sometimes I just need a re-charge...

(6,581 posts)Plus, I am kind of dizzy. Neurologist started me on pramipexole for RLS, I started the full dose this week, and I am kind of light headed at times.
Kind of taking it easy.
Almost quitting time here in the EST zone, little over an hour.
