I still can't even look at a Southern Comfort ad in a magazine without feeling queasy.

That's what the TV tells me, anyway...

Don't think I've had any since I was a kid - back in the wine cooler days.

I remember having it back in my High School days. Once was enough. But the commercial is funny.

... in exchange for a promise to remain INSIDE Bill'a parents' house all night.
.
We insisted on 100 proof -- MiddleFingerMomDad said it would teach us a good lesson.
.
Up in Bill's attic, we had a cooler full of ice, various mixers, and sliced fruit. And the tale
can probably be told entirely with these opening words:
.
It all started off well enough...
.
You can guess the rest.
.

I have not even been able to SMELL Southern Comfort in all these decades since. You
do NOT, repeat NOT want to get sick on Southern Comfort.

.
(edit to add) I have NEVER been able to figure out who they're trying to reach or the
message they're trying to put out with the "hairy guy commercial" right above this.
It's seems simply weird.

I don't like the taste of most alcohols, so although it may be quite good, I don't have the ability to appreciate it.

the original stuff was bourbon, spices, and honey. Was sort of a a cocktail back then, but so popular it got bottled and sold.

Now they make it from "grain neutral spirits" (aka vodka for an extra 5-10 bucks a bottle) fruit, spices, sugar, and "whiskey flavoring"

WTF is "whiskey flavoring"?
