My family is irritating.

All I ask is that they update their damned Amazon wish lists so I can get my shopping done. NOT ONE has done so, not even the husband. There are no malls nearby and all the local shops cater to the wealthy tourist crowd. If I don't shop online, everyone is getting Walmart socks.

My son has bike parts for his Harley on his (the least expensive is $179). The husband has an amp on his (he must be high). My DIL has pots and pans on hers (I'm not getting her things to help her take care of my son). I give up.

So, I updated mine. I added pygmy goats. I couldn't find a website that offered marmosets for sale. I love pygmy goats. No one will let me have two.

For the same reason. Since I'm unemployed, I'll be making gifts this year. I'm making bacon jam. Bacon jam for everyone!

Not just because you're handing out bacon jam(!), but because you're unemployed and still had the love in your heart to make bacon jam. What an inspiration you are!

off and on for about 30 years. They were all milk goats and milked them twice a day, raised baby calves and fed the milk to them.
My kids showed them in 4-H. They had a dress up deal with them at the fair one year and one kid wore a tux and made a wedding gown for his goat and they got married in the show ring!

Better have good fencing tho or you will hate them eating all your plants and jumping on your cars.

MiddleFingerMomTom (MFMT) lived in a farmhouse at an intersection of a lonely back state highway. The
four corners of that intersection were home to his "town" -- which consisted of his farmhouse, a gas
station/general store, a bank and an enormous empty field that was used for towing up sailplanes and
their subsequent landing field.
.
New bank manager. Decided on a beautification program and dug and planted numerous beds of beautiful
flowers -- spent 8 hours each Sunday for about a month and it was just gorgeous.
.
It must have been extremely enticing as within two days, MFMT's goats got out of their enclosure, crossed
the road and munched down EVERYTHING in those flower beds.
.
MFMT said the manager was furious to the point of not being able to speak coherently... and he wasn't
quite sure whether or not the man planned on shooting him... or his goats... or both.
.
MFMT spent most of the next week replanting those flower beds... but he's pretty sure that it was his
groveling "apologetic peace offering" of a really, REALLY good 18-year-old bottle of Scotch that brought
the bank manager around again.
.
MFMT's life was filled with magic and I bet both he and the manager SHARED that entire bottle of Scotch
coming to an understanding and a resumption of peaceful coexistence.
.
.
.
The goats continued on, blissfully unaware and unmoved by all the foofaraw. It is doubtful they would
have been moved HAD they been aware of it.

I bet that manager learned something about humanity as well as goats that year.

I come from a (formerly) upper middle class family. Goats were things you fed at the petting zoo (which is where I fell in love with pygmies), not pets.

Since I was probably about 6, I've wanted pygmy goats. I'm 48 and still want them. Unfortunately, my health is crap so I no longer have the energy to raise them.

That 'wedding' had to have been adorable!

I asked them on NOVEMBER 19 for their lists... and I'm still waiting. If I don't get a list SOON.... everyone is getting a home-made calendar of hamster photos, one for each month.

I have to order online too, because they are all so damn picky. I can't just go to the mall and buy them something .... you know, USEFUL!

really has one except me and Mr Pipi.

I have his, and want to send mine to the others but don't know how to do it tactfully.

They're always getting me clothing and stuff even though I try to nicely hint around that I'm pretty picky and even hate shopping for myself.

I do enjoy the "gag" gifts, though. A few years ago my son and his wife got me a bunch of gag stuff, one item of which was some OCD hand sanitizer. Hahahahahah!!!

You can use a little app that lets you add anything from any site to your wish list. The majority of things I buy for people don't come from Amazon. Plus, it's easier to keep track of what everyone wants...if they keep the damned list updated. It also reminds me of upcoming bdays, anniversaries, etc. Even if you hate Amazon, it's awesome for getting ideas!

Next year, just casually mention it to family and let them know that you and Mr. Pipi have lists up, as well.

Does OCD hand sanitizer come with a holster?
