If it's two in the front, one in the rear, it's a lot more stable. haele Jan 2012 #8

They reluctantly gave in to four wheels sometime in the 1930s or '40s IIRC, but there are enough people who want that retro vibe to justify making the trikes again. Long live English kookiness!

The two on the front configuration can handle sharp turns because of the differential mechinisms in the front axel and won't roll over on turns as a standard two in the back configuration will. It's a momentem issue, more than anything - with the higher speeds, the momentem of a turn affects the front of the vehicle far more than the back, so you need to be able to do your turn rotation compensations in the front. And you need bigger tire the back for traction and stability.

I'd have no problems with a three wheeled vehicle that has two in the front.

Just a bit more stable even though they are so close together.

Corbin Motors (not the electric "Sparrow" model, I don't remember the name). Transverse mounted Harley V-twin powered.

They look like a blast to ride. There were several in the parking lot where I work last summer.
